Podcast will take anyone Between the rows of Sonberk and the whole Czech wine business

It has been a few months since we got the idea at Sonberk to talk about wine in the form of podcasts. And when we were recording the first episode a few weeks ago, we didn't even think how useful it would be at this time when we are all home in the Czech Republic. So welcome, we are introducing the Sonberk´s podcast named Between the Rows, which will talk about everything about making wine at Sonberk and elsewhere.

We will post podcasts in Czech (sorry for that) on Soundtier or Spotify approximately once a month. It's supposed to be a little guide to the wine world. “We want to talk about our philosophy of wine, why we do it, and what it means for those who drink our wine. But we don't just want to close to Sonberk. That is why we will invite guests that we respect. For example, we will talk about how to choose good wine or how to make a modern winery abroad,” explains Dáša Fialová, our marketing and sales director.

Her voice is one of those you will hear in the first episode. It talks about why the Sonberk´s Pálava is mainly done in a dry version, although many consumers associate this typical Czech variety more with sweetness. Along with Dáša, in the premiere episode, is, of course, our winemaker Olda Drápal, who explains how the decision to dry Pálava happened.

But Olda also mentions his famous Pálava, straw wine, which is in contradiction often enjoyed as a dessert to eat. Besides, he describes the difference between these two wines in technology. And he also recalls how surprised he was years ago because of the reward he got for his wine at one of the significant world competition a few years ago. Also, anyone who listens to the podcast to the end will finally find out how much wine the wine workers drink per week.

The Sonberk´s podcast series Between the Rows is also being created thanks to Libor Böhm from the audio publishing company Read Me! And also thanks to guests. We can even now say that we invite one from Prague to the second podcast.
